The Role:

We are looking for a passionate engineer to join our team and drive the development of web applications that power consumer electronic devices. Your job will be to work with a team of engineers (hardware and software) and other team members (PM, Product, Marketing) to design and develop new ways of providing exciting and compelling experiences. You'll measure your success by the quality of your execution, the pace of innovation you help drive, and the increased satisfaction you deliver. We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Engineers who have experience building innovative, mission critical, high volume applications.   • Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules

  • Will establish design principles, select design patterns and mentor junior team members

  • Will help to define and push for the best possible end-user experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2-4 years of software development experience
  • Experience working on a large scale deployments and performance tuning
  • Engineering process experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
  • Development experience defining, developing and maintaining web service API's
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality.
  • Excellence in technical communications with both technical and non-technical peers
  • Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, C++) and open-source technologies (Linux, SQLite, OpenGL, Spring, Hibernate)
