If you are a talented software development engineer in test who is passionate about transforming education, then we want to talk to you! As a member of the QA team, you will be responsible for setting the direction for test automation, test methodologies, metrics and quality requirements for your own development team. You will be working closely with other SDETs and QAEs in the team designing and developing automated testing frameworks in order to eliminate manual testing from our release process. You should be able to dive deep into our existing automated infrastructure, detect inefficiencies and incorporate improvements so that our automation is scalable, reliable and fast. You will be spending a percentage of your time on your own projects to directly impact the team's speed, quality and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2 years relevant work experience, or 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
  • Experience building and designing test cases
  • Experience with testing methodologies (unit, Scrum)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners
