Amazon Lumberyard is a free AAA game engine deeply integrated with AWS and Twitch – with full source. The Lumberyard team aspires to help game developers create the highest quality games, engage massive communities of fans, and connect their games to the vast compute and storage of the cloud.

We have an excellent team with long tenure building some of the industry’s most respected games, but we are still growing fast and have many positions left to fill. Amazon Lumberyard is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager who will lead two innovative game service teams to deliver results. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will work across teams to gather requirements, document roadmaps and ensure that the team is on track and resourced to meet goals. A successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the diplomacy to work across groups and drive alignment toward goals.

Within the first year, we expect this leader to:
  • Release an innovative service
  • Manage the product planning and release processes.
  • Work closely with game customers
  • Build strong relationships with AWS and game teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver innovative products or services and manage success through multiple releases.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people and teams at every level in the organization
  • Effective communicator who can serve as the central point of contact for internal and external teams
  • Ability to balance competing priorities with product direction
  • A passion for video games
  • Experience managing services with ambitious technical scale
  • BS/BA degree in a technical field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the video game industry
  • Proven success in a high growth environment
  • Deep understanding of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
  • Computer Science degree
