Our offering, Sponsored Products, is seeing tremendous growth. In 2016, the number of sellers worldwide using Sponsored Products grew more than 110 percent.” Sponsored Products considered by analysts a game-changer in the industry and a strategic product with significant impact on the company revenue.

We enable Amazon customers to discover new products. We help people who sell on Amazon to promote their products via keyword targeted ads. We are entrepreneurial. Our systems and algorithms operate on one of the world's largest product catalog. We routinely process massive datasets with latency requirements of milliseconds using variety of distributed technologies.

Your team's charter is to increase the speed of innovation in the organization by developing experimentation capabilities that enable our customers to easily conduct what-if simulations and learn about impact of their ideas in the form of standardized metrics within matter of minutes. This position has a high-degree of customer impact and provides many opportunities to influence not only the technical direction but also the success of one of Amazon's fastest growing strategic businesses. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality, consistency, maintainability, performance, security and all the other things that make great software great. You will design, implement, operate, see your solutions live impacting millions of Amazon shoppers and people who sell on Amazon. You will be responsible for creating an environment that thrives on creativity, experimentation, and product innovation.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software development and full product life-cycles
  • 5+ years of hands on coding skills in Java (or C# or C++) coupled with strong base in object-oriented design and development
  • 4-5 years of experience in building solutions of sizable scope and complexity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science with 5+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Experience with Hadoop, HBase, Pig, Spark

  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services

  • Ability to build and operate scalable software systems

  • Prior experience in the online advertising domain

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to convey your ideas to the business leaders at the appropriate level of detail
