Senior Account Manager (Level 6)

Subscribe with Amazon (SWA) is building an exciting new physical discovery box subscription marketplace on Amazon, expanding on a pilot program initially launched in July 2017 (see amazon.com/swa for more detail). To support marketplace expansion, the SWA Business Development team is seeking an innovative, entrepreneurial, results-oriented team player to develop and manage relationships with key partners to grow their business on Amazon. The Senior Account Manager will work closely with subscription sellers to accelerate sales growth, expand selection, and improve customer retention. In addition, the Senior Account Manager will work with key internal stakeholders to help establish business rules and SOPs for new seller launch and to proactively monitor ongoing seller quality requirements. The Senior Account Manager should be able to implement key business metrics, identify new business opportunities, and work cross-functionally with Product Management and Marketing teams to invent and evangelize new program features for both customers and sellers.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering results, initiating process improvements, finding ways to work through barriers, and displaying excellent business judgment in a potentially ambiguous environment. A successful candidate will have experience working with external partners, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong sense of self-motivation, great follow-up and seller/vendor management skills, the ability to learn quickly, and the ability to deliver results.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships and marketing deals that drive competitive advantage, delight customers, and support strategic objectives
· Develop a strategy for partner outreach for both large and small companies
· Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate leaders and across all functional areas of Amazon to execute on the relationships
· Create educational / sales materials and partner incentives
· Prepare and conduct business reviews to the senior management team
· Identify key partner needs to help inform product development

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree
· 5-7 years of relevant experience in business development, vendor management and/or consulting with a proven history of delivering results
· Entrepreneurial spirit with track record of delivering measurable results in fast-moving environments
· Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating
· Strong analytical skills and excellent business judgment

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA preferred
· Experience in new business models and/or subscription businesses
· Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
· Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
