Job Description

The Amazon Video Financial Integration and Engineering group is looking for a technology process-oriented Sr. Program Manager to be a hands-on leader in building world-class financial processes and systems from the ground up to support our expanding global video business. In this role, you will be responsible for, among other tasks, translating new product requirements into projects and features, writing detailed functional specifications that provide global solutions for emergent business expansion opportunities, leading large cross functional and cross organizational programs, and successfully delivering complex programs with accurate results at high scale.

A successful candidate will have a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity, great analytical reasoning skills, and, of course, a passion for TV and film. An interest in building process to streamline the delivery of financial data to internal Amazon teams and systems downstream for a multi-billion dollar business would also be beneficial.

This position is based in Seattle, but will work with teams across the globe and will require up to 10% travel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics) or related technical field
  • 5+ years of Program Management experience in a related industry, including hands-on management of large, cross-functional business expansion and software development efforts
  • Experience managing efforts in distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Strong bias for action and "get it done" attitude
  • Experience identifying, hiring and developing top talent
  • Experience with agile, scrum or other program management methodologies.
  • Adept at working with different systems and making recommendations on improvements for both systems and processes.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, communicate with colleagues in both business, design, and technical roles and develop process that drives efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience specifically in automating business processes at scale, including Customer Payments, Vendor Payments, Accounting, Tax, and Finance processes
