Job Description

Once every generation, there is a paradigm shift in how people interact with technology. Twenty years ago, the desktop UI changed personal computing. Ten years ago, mobile UI opened up a new world of gadgets. It is about to happen again.

We are going to change how people use the Cloud. We are crafting a new product that will make AWS beautiful, intuitive, and helpful to a wide variety of people.

We are normal software folks – engineers, product managers, designers – who happen to love UI and cloud computing. We feel that something special happens on the UI boundary between the mind and machine, something that creates insights and emotions. We are equally fascinated by sophisticated, planet-scale backend systems that we build from AWS services and watch them run, survive, and evolve. We get similar chills seeing people construct giant bridges and buildings (they just use a bit more hardware, and their alarms are louder ;).

Our team is growing. If you are a Senior UI developer with experience leading teams working on graphs, layout algorithms, geometry, 2D and 3D visualization – you will find yourself at home here. We also welcome backend leaders who enjoy cracking non-trivial computer science problems and leading teams that build smart, robust, scalable services. Game development experience is a definite plus. You will like this journey if scrappy V1 projects are your natural habitat, if you need to play an active role in shaping the product, if you are optimistic and value teamwork. Nothing is set in stone, but we are currently building on React/Redux, Java, Ruby, and a host of AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront and Route53.
