Kindle Content MOD Manufacturing Technology team is responsible for building the technology to run a worldwide network of Make on Demand manufacturing cells. Our team provides software to receive the customer orders placed, retrieve content, spawn and manage the manufacturing workflow, interface with manufacturing hardware, produce finished products such as Books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays and integrate with several upstream and downstream software services.
Great candidates for this position possess a sound understanding of Computer Science and passion to build systems that are performant. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in architecture, design & delivery of platforms built preferably on Java and Amazon Web Services technologies. You will develop software platforms and applications that are resilient, enables our manufacturing cells operate 24/7 and always at peak performance. You will have the opportunity to showcase your technical skills in the areas such as algorithms, object oriented design, distributed systems, machine learning, low latency and high availability systems and much more. You will be obsessed with designing systems and work flows that provide superior user experience for our manufacturing cell associates and supervisors to quickly and efficiently carry out their duties in a fast paced environment. You will also have opportunity to work with business stakeholders, shape our technology and coordinate launches.
