Job Description

Are you interested in applying your knowledge of data engineering and machine learning to build real-world applications? Do you want to build quantitative modeling systems?

We are hiring leaders to build our Ad Measurement platform. Your role will be to define and deploy the data infrastructure and systems that allow algorithms to operate on big data to generate econometric learnings and drive optimal decision.You will work with world class economists and research scientists understand their thought process and build precise systems to help them scale in collaboration with the software engineering teams.

Position Responsibilities:
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed data architecture and data flow design
• Work with quantitative modelers within measurement and big data experts at AWS to deliver and operate proprietary technology solutions
• Be responsible for overall data system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
• Hire and mentor other engineers, define the technical culture, and help grow the team
• Lead a team responsible for building and migrating the complex ETL pipelines from Oracle system to Redshift and Elastic Map Reduce to make the system grow elastically

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience data modeling, ETL, data warehousing, and transformation of large scale data sources using SQL, Redshift, Oracle, or other Big Data technologies
  • Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated quantitative and qualitative data science experience with impact to a business, a track record of problem solving using software systems, and the desire to create and maintain data warehouse systems
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment; ability to re-prioritize on a regular basis in order to remain current with business needs
  • Ability to influence others in a positive and professional manner
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to source and combine disparate data sets to answer business questions
  • PhD in Engineering or Math/Statistics/Finance or related discipline
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise with Data modelling skills, Advanced SQL with Oracle, MySQL, and Columnar Databases
  • Experience guiding and mentoring other data engineers and influencing large scale projects or organizations
