Amazon.com is looking for a finance leader of Marketplace Seller ‘Brand Builder’ Services. In this role you will be working closely with the business team to create programs and initiatives to transform the way that Marketplace Sellers present their products, tell their story and drive customer traffic. These services will support the growth of the worldwide Marketplace which represents more than 2MM active sellers. Background on this role:
Amazon’s vision is to offer the earth’s largest Product Selection and Lowest prices for our customers. To deliver on this vision we have aggressively grown the number of Sellers and now have over x hundred million products for sale on the Marketplace worldwide. Increasingly we see manufacturers and brand owners selling direct to consumer on the Marketplace. In some cases these Sellers are looking for more services and support to effectively present their products, tell their story and drive traffic to their products on Amazon. We recognize that we can gain even more leverage to grow the marketplace and better serve our customers by offering a new suite of “brand builder” services for Sellers on the Marketplace. We are looking for a finance leader to provide analytical horsepower in identifying growth opportunities and assisting the team take data-driven decisions.
In this role you will:
1. Develop 3 year financials for Brand Builder services to support Sellers in telling their product/brand story, engaging with customers and driving traffic to their products.
2. Drive meaningful new incremental revenue and profit initiatives by monetizing these new services for Sellers.
3. Support Amazon Exclusives program to help product inventors to launch and grow their new products on Amazon WW.
4. Manage the entire P&L including Headcount and expenses for the business team.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. They should be a fast learner who can be analytical in their decision making with a demonstrated ability to drive issues and projects to completion. They should have experience in deep dive analysis, have a desire for problem solving, and have experience handling large data sets. The successful candidate has the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including International Sales, Technology and Traffic and be capable of influencing the organization to achieve the right results. In addition, the successful candidate must be comfortable presenting to senior business leaders using fact based analysis; effective verbal and written communication skills are must.
