As Senior Manager of Quality, and Engineering Service you will be responsible for leading teams of Test engineers, QA Engineers, and Service engineering in design, development, test, and deployment of Automation frameworks, test strategies and operational support systems for Alexa Music. A successful candidate will have an established the ability to build and manage a team of skilled engineers, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

· Responsible for the overall systems development life cycle.
· Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments; Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment.
· Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team.
· Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
· Expert in software quality and testing methodologies
· Expert in Operational Support systems (OSS)
· Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or a related field and 6+ years of experience as a manager of quality assurance teams, focused on testing embedded systems or mobile consumer electronics devices
  • 7+ years of industry experience, including at least 3+ years of hands-on testing or test automation and 6+ years as a quality assurance manager
  • Experience managing and creating test automation frameworks
  • Quality Assurance best practices pertaining to test definition, requirements tracking, and test automation
  • Demonstrated experience in black box and grey box testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· MS, Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
· A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
· A track record of communicating well with executives and non-technical leaders
· Experience building frameworks for creating applications on various platforms
· Ability to work in a dynamic environment
