We are recruiting for a software development leader to manage the development and operations pertaining the Console and Designer User Experience for CloudFormation. The AWS CloudFormation Console is one of the key surface areas of customer interaction with the service, allowing customers to provision and manage their AWS infrastructure. The AWS CloudFormation Designer is a graphic tool for creating, viewing, and modifying AWS CloudFormation templates. With Designer, you can diagram your template resources using a drag-and-drop interface, and then edit their details using the integrated JSON and YAML editor.
This leader will own all aspects of the CloudFormation user experience - iterating on the design of the UX, designing and building the software, managing the operations of the Console and the Designer and delivering on the customer performance expectations. A successful candidate must have experience dealing with ambiguity, be able to hire talent and develop that talent and be able to trade off strategic thinking with a bias to deliver value to customers quickly. They will be able to collaborate closely with a large number of AWS teams as well as external partners.
This position requires you to be familiar with web technologies and frameworks such as Angular, React, etc. You will have the opportunity to work on the cutting edge of high-scale distributed system technologies and deliver value to a very large and growing base of customers.
