In this hybrid product / program management role you will own strategic design and delivery of innovative partner programs that support the AWS Partner ecosystem in serving customers in the Public Sector (i.e. Government, Education, and Non-Profit) industries. You will work cross-functionally with AWS teams and partners around the world to support and accelerate growth of the AWS Public Sector partner ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in the incredibly fast-growing AWS Public Sector team, owning high visibility projects in a Greenfield space.
AWS is seeking a strong program/product manager who is passionate about growing a fast-paced international business, a self-starter who enjoys shaping their own role and team. The ideal candidate is experienced in driving broad scale, programmatic efforts that impact global results. S/he will have demonstrated strong product management, product marketing, partner/alliance programs experience, and go-to-market skills, and has a proven ability to learn new technologies quickly. Core Roles & Responsibilities
•Define, build, and manage new public sector (government, education, non-profit) partner programs.
•Work closely and communicate effectively with partners, AWS sales and partner teams, and AWS HQ teams around the world
•Work with existing US and INTL partner field organizations to define and execute joint sales and channel go to market strategy.
•Drive program implementation with partner managers (internal) and partners (external); proactively communicate with senior and executive level stakeholders
•Engage the partner field sales organization and partner channels to represent WWPS business perspectives proactively. Understand the business and technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings.
•Develop and track key performance metrics utilizing Salesforce.com, Microsoft Excel, and other internal Amazon systems.
•Identify opportunities to improve our internal tools and processes, including driving automation of repeatable work, and increasing overall team efficiency.
•Ability to travel as necessary to implement new programs (up to 25% travel, within the US)
