Job Description

Amazon’s US Media team is looking for a bright, enthusiastic, hard-working, analytical and creative candidate to join our team. This Sr. Program Manager role offers a unique opportunity to work across all of our Media categories (i.e. Books, Video, Music, Video Games, and Software) in a strategically critical capacity with high levels of visibility with leadership. We are prioritizing the building of programs and solutions to drive actions that more deeply engage customers and generate higher long-term returns. This position will work with key stakeholders in each category to identify, develop, and execute on opportunities that enable such growth.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to dive deep, deal with ambiguity, and influence without authority. The Sr. Program Manager will be a passionate customer advocate within Amazon with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a high level of flexibility.

The Sr. Program Manager will be responsible for the following:
  • Implementing program to drive broader and deeper engagement of customers across Amazon, including in strategically important business areas
  • Championing these programs and holding team members accountable for progress on key program actions.
  • Creation of reporting and metrics to demonstrate progress towards goals, provide new insights, and allow for regular updates to senior leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in retail buying, account management, product/program/project management, and/or marketing
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Masters in relevant field
  • Proven influencing abilities and experience in negotiating with internal stakeholders
  • SQL experience
