This Principal Enterprise Sales Executive role has regional responsibility and is part of a Global Specialist Sales Organization established to position AWS as the best place to host Windows based production workloads.

As part of a single-threaded sales team focusing on the Microsoft platform running on AWS, you will be responsible for working with large enterprise customers and their existing account teams to qualify and pursue sales opportunities for enterprise application workloads and datacenter migration projects. Your sales region will consist of multiple existing territories and segments with existing customers and account teams. You will engage with our segment sales, solutions architects, partner and professional services organizations to drive large and highly complex opportunities to closure. These opportunities will include migrating LOB Apps powered by SQL Server and corporate apps such as Exchange, SharePoint or SAP to the AWS cloud. Your commitments will include quota accountability, driving platform adoption, market penetration in new and existing enterprise accounts as well as creating public references.

Basic Qualifications

7-10 years of enterprise sales or business development experience with quota accountability
Experience in working directly with large enterprise accounts
Proven ability to sell complex database, datacenter and cloud technologies
Fluency with Microsoft Licensing, including License Mobility and Volume Licensing (such as EA)
Experience developing and executing against a comprehensive territory focused plan
Strong verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

7-10 years of technology related sales or business development experience with quota accountability.
Direct field experience in working with enterprise accounts.
Experience working at Microsoft or a systems integrator partner.
Experience in working directly with large enterprise accounts in a quota carrying role.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Extensive customer network.

BA/BS degree required. A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
