Senior Product Manager (Technical) for Amazon QuickSight

Most recently, we launched Amazon QuickSight, a very fast, cloud-powered business analytics service that makes it easy for everyone – regardless of their technical skill – to build visualizations, perform ad-hoc analysis and quickly get business insights from their data. As more data is being generated in the cloud and tens of thousands of customers migrating their on-premises data into the AWS cloud, Amazon QuickSight is positioned to change the business analytics. Regardless of whether the data is in Files (desktop or S3), SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB), Streaming (Kinesis) data stores or SaaS business applications, Amazon QuickSight makes it easy for our customers analyze and get insights instantly. Amazon QuickSight team is growing rapidly, and is seeking a seasoned member with strong product and program management experience in business intelligence, visualizations, and databases. This leader will help define and drive the product strategy and roadmap that will cement AWS as the leader for managing databases in the cloud. You will own large-scale projects and strategic initiatives that directly grow the AWS business in current and adjacent market segments that will have substantial top line and bottom line impact.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to drive adoption of Amazon QuickSight throughout the entire Amazon by serving our internal customers and partners well. You will achieve that by partnering with various business groups in the organization, diving deep into customer use cases and requirements, shaping and driving the product strategy, product definition, priorities, and roadmap that focuses on customer experience, user adoption, and operational excellence. In this is a highly visible position you will interact with the senior management team within AWS and across multiple Amazon.com businesses. You will be the voice of Amazon that Key Strategic Objectives:
· Provide unparalleled customer experience that is rooted in rich analytics, fast performance, and ease of use and drive broad adoption of Amazon QuickSight in the entire organization.
· Create and execute on product plans to deliver new features, adoption programs, customer engagements, “how to” guides, and technical documentation.
· Develop a strategic and tactical plan that measures and improves the awareness, trial, and adoption of Amazon QuickSight.
· Lead the organization through change, evolution, and sustained scaling.
The right individual will be a proven leader with drive and competencies to envision the right experience for customers, drive execution, and scale the product to match the business opportunity and fast growth. You will lead by example, being just as passionate about operational performance, security, and predictability as you are about all other aspects of the customer experience. You will not have the luxury of having tunnel-vision for any one area; rather, you will need to exhibit excellent judgment on how to prioritize and strike the right balance for driving adoption fast.
