Job Description

The Assistant Production Manager will focused on scheduling, managing and developing the in-house Production Engineers, and supplementing with outside support where needed. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the largest and most dynamic on-campus events for Amazon. Responsibilities Include
• Management and development of Production Engineers
• Scheduling of in-house labor and balancing workloads
• Scheduling and coordinating with outside vendors for over-hire labor to fill roles when needed
• Procurement of basic resources for technical support of events
• Verifying accuracy and timeliness of information for event schedules across all relevant platforms
• Ensure the Production Engineer team is following the safest, best practices in all operations
• Developing and improving processes for seamless communication with Producers
• Staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Build strong relationships with partner groups

Basic Qualifications

  • Have a thorough understanding of how much time and labor is required to perform specific tasks and duties
  • Capable of staying on task when alone, but also interface well with customers and team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally adjust work schedule to business needs
  • Strong experience with production management
  • Up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • Must have a working knowledge of the roles within a scalable production environment
  • Technical knowledge of video, audio, recording, and lighting systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of Production Management experience; OR 3+ years of production management with a 2-4 year degree in the field of technical event production
  • Strong understanding of Ethernet for entertainment applications, including Dante and Net3
Experience with:
  • Crestron control and video systems
  • Analog Way presentation switchers
  • ETC EOS Lighting systems
  • Yamaha QL Series consoles and Dante Networks
  • Sony Broadcast systems (BetaCam/MVS Switches)
