Job Description

Does Big Data, Machine Learning, Speech Recognition and Automation sound interesting to you? Customer Service Technology is looking for exceptional developers to work on our data-driven recommendation applications and platforms that improve customer experience in customer care and beyond. The team leverages Big Data, Machine Learning and Speech Recognition to ship recommendations, personalizations, and behaviorally-targeted features for both Amazon customers and customer service associates. The team owns large-scale systems that are serving millions of requests per day, and continues to build innovative technologies that empower Amazon’s #1 customer service.


In this team, you will work with business partners, software engineers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems. You will assist in analyzing business metrics and functional requirements, and translate them into robust and scalable technical solutions. You will learn cutting-edge technologies and Machine Learning processes, and develop well-rounded skills such as polyglot programming, big data analysis, leadership, and effective project management. You will also mentor junior software engineers.

Basic Qualifications

You are required to have these qualifications:
  • Passionate about technology
  • Eager to learn and learn fast, enjoy a fast paced environment
  • Self-directed, demonstrate leadership potential and a team player
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience as a software engineer
  • Strong software design and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
