Job Description

Are you passionate about helping new customers learn how to use new technologies? Do you have a knack for translating complex technologies into customer-focused and actionable content?
If yes, let's talk! The Amazon Web Services New Customer Adoption Marketing team is hiring a brilliant technical content marketer to own and execute our adoption-focused technical content efforts.

In this role, you will define and own the technical content roadmap of our new customer adoption efforts. You'll partner with the Product Marketing team, the Technical Documentation team and the Solutions Architecture teams to execute the roadmap. You'll build scalable processes, set standards and maintain an extremely high bar for the new technical marketing content that we'll serve up to new AWS customers in the first minutes, hours and days of their journey with AWS. In the process, you'll play a leading role in shaping the new customer experience and helping new customers successfully achieve their goals on AWS.

A successful candidate will be uncompromisingly customer obsessed, detail-oriented and familiar with AWS. You must be a self-starter and be able to learn on the go. You must be able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You will build sustainable and scalable processes that can be leveraged across the business.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Own the development of technical core content roadmap for all new customer-adoption marketing
  • Lead a large virtual team across AWS with groups such as sales engineering, technical documentation, business development, evangelists to achieve business goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, developer marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting or training
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, or relevant field of study such as Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background is preferred
  • Adoption-focused Content Marketing experience with SaaS or IaaS products/platforms
  • Demonstrated track record in crafting compelling positioning and marketing content
  • A bias for action for developing excellent marketing assets (product videos, web content)
  • Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology products
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and a knack for driving benchmark industry products/services
  • Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
  • The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • The candidate must also be a strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives
