Digital Designer, Amazon Devices

Amazon is looking for an exceptional Digital Designer to join the Global Integrated Marketing team, focusing on Amazon branded Devices (Kindle, Echo, Fire, Dash, etc.). In this role, you will be creating a variety of digital assets used to engage and attract customers on Amazon.com and various social media channels, as well as email. You will be working alongside a global team of designers, writers, and production teams to deliver your designs.

The ideal candidate must have experience working in collaborative process and professionally accept direction and feedback. In addition to strong design skills, a candidate must have strong organizational skills, web expertise, typographic skills, active knowledge of social media and global culture from books to movies, television to photography. Most importantly, this candidate possesses an acute attention to detail and ability to execute with speed and precision.

Responsibilities
·
Create strategic CRM campaigns that elevate Amazon’s device brands across multiple channels and steer the direction of how device owners think of and interact with their devices.
· Understand and respond to creative performance data and apply learnings to make assets more effective.
Understand user experience best practices for web design, mobile interactions, and social media.
· Present and defend work to leadership and business partners
· Collaborate with the Amazon design community at large to ensure consistent brand use across multiple marketing channels
· Grow team’s knowledge of design best practices and trends in web and graphic design

Basic Qualifications

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating online marketing, retail merchandising, visual branding, and great user-centered design solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in online marketing, digital advertising or e-commerce design
  • Experience managing multiple projects and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to work in an iterative environment across teams and synthesize feedback from multiple teams/owners
  • Expert Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and other image optimizing applications
  • Basic knowledge of emerging design software and desire to experiment and optimize creative through self-teaching
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of communication and social media design, from emails to video.
  • Photo retouching skills
  • Illustration or info-graphic skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Motion graphics and / or relevant animation experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
