Job Description

Day One (D1) builds innovative, memorable, and effective brand advertising and design across dozens of Amazon’s products and services. We are seeking a strategic and detail oriented art director to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be able to interpret creative briefs and concept both media agnostic advertising campaigns and individual tactics. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong bias for action. They should be able to work under pressure, turning around projects quickly and without errors, creating work in digital, social, broadcast, and print channels. They will be paired with a copywriter and will be work with designers, motion designers, photographers, directors, and marketing professionals to deliver exceptional ad campaigns seen by millions of customers world-wide.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in advertising, design, or related field or equivalent training
• 1-3 years of advertising industry experience
• Portfolio demonstrates big, campaignable thinking that can extend into any medium.
• Ability to design in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to present ideas clearly and thoughtfully to management, both verbally and through sketches.
• Editing and After Effects skills a plus.
• An articulate writer
• Strong understanding of digital and social platforms as well as their use within marketing
• Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player
• Passion for working in a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail
