Job Description

The Selling on Amazon editorial team develops high-quality, user-centered content for the companies and individuals who sell goods and services through Amazon, and for the team that helps sellers when they contact Seller Support. Amazon strives to be Earth's most customer-centric company, where people can buy virtually anything online. Amazon sellers play a key role by greatly expanding the selection available to shoppers.

As a program manager on our editorial team, you will support programs to help Amazon sellers succeed. You will collaborate with writers and internal business partners (such as program managers, UI designers, and software development engineers) to drive content related projects. You will participate in developing program requirements, process development, and project management in support of team success and positively influence the Seller experience for specific releases:

o Define the scope of the program in collaboration with senior management and create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences of tasks needed to successful program rollout
o Base the objectives and measures of success using analytics
o Drive the execution of the program according to the project plan
o Identify area of improvement and drive tool automation to reduce manual work
o Setup reports to monitor the progress and risks, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure a successful completion
o Establish a schedule and communication plan to update project team, stakeholders, upper management and program sponsor
o Create the scalable mechanism, process and communication plan to organize multiple cross functional changes in a fast-paced environment
o Manage risks and changes
o Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
o Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in program or project management in high tech industries or online content related field.
• Bachelor's degree in English, technical writing, or related field, or comparable job experience
• Strong bias for action and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Experience working independently and creating a path forward with ambiguity
• Experience working with virtual and globally distributed teams
• Experience producing reports, analyzing data to drive business decisions
• Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, where tactical and strategic activities are driven in parallel, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in global customer-facing UI development, Internet products and technologies.
• Experience working with product and UI designers and writing UI text
• Experience managing global content projects, including coordinating with other teams
• Experience working as part of a global team
• Experience creating content for translation and localization
• Experience with content management systems and SEO
• Experience working in an agile content development environment
