Job Description

We’re building a new network-based service within the Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) team and are looking for an experienced software engineer to help with the technical efforts and deliver solid, scalable systems on an aggressive schedule. Responsibilities will include working with product management to refine the product requirements, working with senior technical staff to define the architecture, and significant hands-on software development.

Amazon has a fast-paced environment where we “Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History.” On a “typical” day, software engineers might whip up a prototype to prove or disprove an idea, deep dive to root cause why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with the top engineers at Amazon, code up tests for a new feature – then write the feature, chime in on code review, or comment on a radical idea a peer is proposing.
