Job Description

Amazon.com is looking for a GM of Amazon Exclusives Program. Amazon Exclusives is a program for brand owners who sell direct to consumer and Exclusively on Amazon. The program provides a new suite of services for brand owners to tell their story, engage with customers and drive traffic to their products. In this role you will be responsible for scaling this new program from US to worldwide and expanding into new product categories. This role reports to the GM of Seller Programs and technology and is based in Seattle.

Background on this role: Amazon’s vision is to offer the earth’s largest Product Selection and Lowest prices for our customers. The worldwide Marketplace which represents more than 40% of units sold on amazon.com and has more than 2MM active sellers is one important way we deliver on our vision. Increasingly we see manufacturers and brand owners selling direct to consumer on the Marketplace. In some cases these Sellers are looking for more services and support to effectively present their products, tell their story and drive traffic to their products on Amazon. We launched Amazon Exclusives in 2015 as one way to help these brand owners and it has quickly gained traction. We have set an aggressive plan to grow and scale this program worldwide and expand into new product categories.

The key strategic objectives for this role include:
1. Develop a 3 year vision for Amazon Exclusives program services to support consumer direct brand owners.
2. Drive meaningful new incremental revenue and profit by monetizing the Exclusives program.
3. Define the company’s strategic roadmap of services for Brand owners and manufacturers selling directly to consumers on the Marketplace.
4. Build a world class team in a range of job functions including sales reps, account managers, site merchandising, program/product managers


Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, engineering or computer science or equivalent experience.

· A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
· Experience hiring and developing sales, account management, program and product management teams
· Ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Bias for action, and experience making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Preferably a diverse business experience in a technology environment including driving programs, product management, and cross functional business teams

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA from a top school is a plus
