Job Description

At Amazon.com, we are the Earth’s most customer-centric company. To stay there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you'd like to help us build the place to find and buy anything online, this is your chance to make history. We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our company as Senior Manager for the Amazon Devices Sales team.

The HR function at Amazon has a five-pronged mission: “Enable Growth”, “Develop Large Leaders”, “Cultivate Culture”, “Enhance Employee Experience” and “Operate Optimally.” This leader will focus on developing and implementing HR programs that support a high growth environment and ensures that these strategies are aligned with the business objectives and Amazon’s culture.

Reporting to the Director of HR, this HR leader will be a strategic partner, actively working with the senior-most leaders across Amazon’s Devices organization. This role requires equal parts strategic thinking and diving deep into practical application with teams at all levels and on a global scale.

This leader may hail from an organization that has exposed him or her to innovative and fast-pace teams across a wide variety of industries and functions. He or she will have developed a vision and strategy that inspires teams and partners in a dynamic, high velocity environment. He or she ideally will have had experience in applying operational excellence techniques to implement a vision. This leader will have demonstrated the ability to strike the right balance between speed/flexibility and process/compliance. He or she will be highly analytical about leading the function and ensure that the organization rigorously measures and analyzes the right things to drive success.
Working closely with specialist HR teams, as well as site and international HR colleagues, you’ll also keep the right focus on organizational effectiveness, career development and rewards. In addition, this role will be accountable for driving key initiatives and projects in areas such as such as global organization design, diversity, leadership development, and leading annual talent management processes. This is a great opportunity to be a true owner in Amazon Devices’ entrepreneurial environment, helping people to successfully join and then thrive in our unique customer-centric culture. The leader will lead a team of experienced Human Resources Business Partners.
