Job Description

The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial support for decision making to the Prime Now Retail teams. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements, provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting, and manage special projects to continuously improve the financial model of Prime Now as well as build scalable financial processes. A successful candidate will help in the prioritization and execution of key driving key finance and business strategies for Prime Now.

The role is located in Amazon’s Seattle Headquarters and reports into the Finance Director of Prime Now. In this role, you will support the world-wide Prime Now retail teams and manage a team of finance managers and analysts. Applicants should also be interested in day to day finance tasks such as reporting and data analysis, as you will be tasked with ensuring the successful running of the local finance function.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or similar discipline with analytical bias
  • 8+ years’ relevant experience in positions that require analysis, reporting financial results, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results
  • 5+ years’ experience directly supervising teams and developing people
  • 5+ years’ experience performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools
  • 5+ years’ experience with Excel advanced functions (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
  • 5+ years’ experience working with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA or Masters in statistics, operations research or other decision science areas.
· Experience in trucking or logistics industry especially on the technology & operations research part of the business
· Experience in project portfolio management tools and processes
· An understanding of SQL would be considered a plus
· Ability to achieve impressive results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing environment
· Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Customer focus and professional demeanor
· First-class interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge or influence senior company leaders
