B2B represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high interest for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions that enables the B2B customer to find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between). Our B2B customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer so we are reinventing everything from how we display our selection to how we provide the right customer experience.
Amazon’s consumer discovery experience has become the defacto way for consumers to discover for products to purchase. We are looking for a senior product manager with proven experiences in thought leadership, product management and analysis to build an unrivaled browse and search experience for B2B. The three core areas of focus for Discovery Product Manager are: 1) work backwards from customer problems sourced from Voice of Customer (VoC) channels and/or quantitative behavioral data from Amazon systems to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve product discovery for AB customers across all Marketplaces, 2) partner with teams internal and external to AB to create projects with timelines and priorities to be included in the overall discovery roadmap, and 3) lead the effort to build scalable mechanisms to generate top-level output metrics and to drill into key drivers contributing to changes.
The scope is global (e.g., business customers purchasing products from our international Amazon marketplaces). You will need to speak to a wide range of business customers (size, industry, geography, personas) to understand the various requirements related to the shopping experience (e.g., comparing, researching, and buying) and work backwards to document customer requirements.

Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between) that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. Our B2B customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer and thus we have to reinvent everything from how we display our selection, price our products, and provide the right customer experience (i.e., fulfill and deliver bulk quantities, allow different ways to order and pay, provide pre and post purchase services, etc.).
