The AWS Network Control and Management (NCM) team is responsible for building the next generation of tools and services for Amazon’s network. These services help generate device configurations for thousands of heterogeneous devices in datacenters and access networks around the world. The services would enable automated configuration deployments and other device operations using abstractions based on a comprehensive data model of the Amazon network. In addition, these services constantly collect the state of the network, manage its lifecycle and ensure that the network is consistent with the intended, software-defined state.
We are seeking a world-class technical program manager (TPM) to manage multiple programs / projects with the NCM organization. This is a new, challenging, and highly visible position. Technical Program Managers in AWS handle much of the heavy lifting of making sure that large scale projects in Amazon are run efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for identifying the stakeholders, driving to set roadmaps and strategies for the program, driving delivery, reporting status, and holding the bar on product quality. TPMs handle complex inter-team dependencies and bridge the gaps in technical management. You will need to work with many different domain people including engineers and engineering managers.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities. You will have a deep understanding of product design and implementation details and will successfully represent the technical team to senior leadership and customers. Your technical expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and robust solutions which have great customer experience.
