The global accounting organization supports our financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, and transfer pricing activities as well as supports new business launches globally for Amazon in the consumer products, digital initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing lines of business.

Responsibilities
This position will have responsibility for supporting all parts of our financial reporting process and will be expected to understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area. This position is expected to have a strong sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between Accounting and various business and IT groups. Technical accounting research and position paper writing will also be a requirement of this position.
We are currently looking for candidates who are at the senior accountant level. Successful candidates for this position will have the equivalent of 5 + years of professional experience with financial reporting and internal control related responsibilities. Candidates for this position will have held supervisory or management positions in companies with less than one billion in annual revenues, will have worked for a Big 4 public accounting firm at the senior accountant level for more than 2 years with Fortune 500 clients or equivalent, or have worked in a large public company as a senior accountant. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate they were top performers at their level.
