WebStore Application Development a high visibility division within Amazon that is growing in the triple digits this year! We are looking for people who can work quickly and efficiently across a broad array of features and functions. You will work on newly developed software in a highly distributed environment fronted by dynamic, webs 2.0 UI. Primary Responsibilities:
Define, design, and implement multi-tier distributed software applications.
Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles.
Independently design code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
Effectively collaborate in a fast paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization (software development, QA, Project/Release Management, Build and Release, etc).

Basic Qualifications

2+ Years of Software Development Experience
Experience in an object oriented language such as Java (preferred), C#, C++, Perl.
Experience in a Unix/Linux development environment.
Experience leading teams or managing projects.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in web technologies like Javascript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, DHTML, JSP, PHP, Struts, Spring, etc.
Experience with design patterns.
Experience with SEO, Accessibility, Usability.
Experience working on high capacity / high traffic websites.
Experience designing high-performance, scalable architectures.
Passion for developing products that provide a great customer experience.
Desire to build scalable web applications.
Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment.
Motivation to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
