The Builder Tools organization inside Amazon.com is looking for a strong technical leader to head up our Developer Education program. Our ideal candidate is a self-directed leader with a nice blend of technology and business. The goal of the Developer Education Program is to help our builders be more productive by creating, promoting, and making it easy to find useful content. Examples of such content include training classes, guest speaker talks, video broadcasts, coding competitions, promoting mentoring, and more. You will get to interface with authors and recognized technical leaders in the industry to organize speaking engagements at Amazon. You will get to work with other technical leaders around the company to contribute content that benefits builders across Amazon. We are looking for a courageous leader who will embrace the Amazon culture, create a technical education and development strategy and execute. The Builder Tools organization's mission is to provide Amazon's technical community (software developers, web developers, designers, QA, TPMs, etc) with the tools and services that will allow them to create world class software. We strive to make our builders more productive by creating world-class tools which streamline the design, develop, test, deploy and operations processes. Qualifications * Strong influence skills; ability to negotiate and communicate across all levels of the organization. * Demonstrated ability to make courageous recommendations and decisions to drive significant organizational change. * You relentlessly strive to ensure that the right information is delivered to the right audience about your programs and projects. * Excellent oral and written communication, dynamic presentation, and analytical skills. * Ability to confidently represent your team to other parts of the company. * Have played a leading role in managing the delivery of large projects spanning teams in your company. * A bachelors degree plus 4 years project management experience. * Computer Science or relevant background preferred
